Saturday, September 14th Football Game vs, Virginia A&M Prep Has Been Canceled

Due to the fact that the Virginia A&M Prep has disbanded, the Saturday, Septembre 14th hoem footblal game has been canceled.  The week now becomes a bye week for Williamson.

"They called us for a game back in Janaury and we had one open date at that point, so we agreed to play them," shared Williamson Director of Atheltics Dale Plummer.  "Unfortuantely, they never returned the contract.  We then sent a bunch of emails asking for confirmnation and received no response.  Our last email stated if we did not hear from them soon, we would not be playing them.  Sure enough, they did not return that email either.

"We then scrambled to try to find someone else who, by some chance might have had an open date this coming weekend, but as one might expect, we were not able to find anyone."

The Mechanics, who lost their season opener to the New Jersey Warriors on Saturday, 7-0, are not off until they host CAPP Acacemy on Saturday, September 21 at 12:000 P.M.
