The Williamson basketball team picked a bad time to have their worst shooting performance of the season to date, as they shot a paltry 23.3 percent from the floor in dropping a semester ending game to Christendom College, 43-33 on Saturday afternoon.
Williamson scored the first basket of the game and then sadly went almost seven minutes before scoring another one. Sadly, that trend continued throughout the game. Williamson was only able to muster 14 points by halftime, and only able to add 19 to that total in the second half in falling to 4-9 at the semester break.
Playing the second game in a row without head coach Bill Michaels who was out due to health reason, the Mechanics were equally as poor from the free throw line, as they shot just one for nine from the charity stripe. They also turned the ball over 18 times on the day.
Abdoulaye Diallo was the lone Mechanics in double figures, as scored over half the team's points with 19. He also added seven rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals.
Williamson is now off for the semester break. They will resume game action on Thursday, January 11 as they will host Salem County College in a 7:00 P.M. tip-off.
