Already still missing two starters and a key reserve, the Williamson basketball team lost another starter to illness on Tuesday night prior to their away contest at Luzerne County College. Undaunted, the Mechanics proceeded to race out to a 10-point halftime lead and never looked back in a stunning 78-62 win over the host Trailblazers.
Williamson was led by junior guard Rob Wiley who had a team high 23 points, while adding six rebounds and four assists. Freshman Liam Rardin also reach the 20-point mark, as he added a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while fellow freshman Abdoulaye Diallo added 12 points and seven rebounds.
The win moves Williamson to 4-7 on the year. After a frenetic beginning to the season, the Mechanics now get a well-deserved break until their next game on Tuesday, December 12 at Central Penn College
