Game 2
Finding themselves down yet again late in the game gain, Williamson rallied-yet again-for a come-from-behind 6-3 win over Patrick Henry College to sweep a doubleheader from the Centurions
This time Williamson, despite a strong pitching effort from Zachary Ladislaw, found themselves down 3-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. Undaunted by the deficit, Daniel Gross started things off with a single, followed by a single by Jacob Naumann. Williamson would then load the bases and pull to within one at 3-2 on a bases loaded walk. Brandon Fredericksdorf would then tie the game at 3-3 with a sacrifice fly.
Samuel Coppa would then single in the go ahead run with an RBI single, before Joshua Illing would tack on two more runs with a two RBI triple to put the Mechanics up 6-3. Phil Martini would then come on to close things out to get the save and give Williamson the 6-3 win.
With the doubleheader sweep, Williamson moves to 10-2 on the year. They now get a well-earned break until they play again on Tuesday, April 2 at home in a 3:30 P.M. start against Atlantic Cape Community College.
