Lacrosse Downs #6 Drexel to Remain Undefeated
It is one thing to be ahead at halftime, but most coaches will tell you often times games are won or lost in the third quarter. Taking that to heart, the #2 Williamson lacrosse team used a big third quarter to take down the host #6 Drexel Dragons, 10-5 Sunday night in Philadelphia.
Williamson led 3-1 at the end of the first quarter and held a 5-2 lead at the half. They then blitzed the hosts 4-0 in the third quarter to lead 9-2 going into the fourth, where they then cruised to the victory.
The win moves Williamson to 10-0 on the season. They travel to Del Tech on Wednesday and then host TCNJ Friday to close out the regular season.
Matt Dickinson led Williamson with three goals and two assists, while Cooper Conroy added two goals and an assist. Justin Minch, Konnor Oreskovich, Rob Wagner, Joshua Kirkpatrick and Sean Lohr all added goals for the Mechanics, while Jack Welsh picked up the win in net.
