Zachary Bosak scored the first two goals of the game Thursday night against Lehigh Carbon, and then scored his third goal with ten minutes left to give Williamson some breathing room late, as the Mechanics came away with a 6-3 victory over the Cougars.
Bosak first scored on a beautiful shot from 21 yards out to put Williamson up 1-0 at the 40:43 mark. He then added another blast, this time from 22 yards out, on free kick to put Williamson up 2-0. Dylan Beaver then got his first goal as a Mechanic off a feed from Brandon Cairy, and it looked like Williamson was perhaps going to be able to coast into halftime. Not so-as Lehigh Carbon came roaring back with two goals of their own in under seven minutes to pull to within 3-2 at half.
The score remained 3-2 for the first 16 minutes of the half until Brandon Cairy scored at the 29:51 mark unassisted to put Williamson up 4-2. Bosak then got the hat trick, unassisted at the 10:51 mark to put Williamson up 5-2 before the Cougars bounced back again on a penalty kick goal to pull to within 5-3. Brandon Cairy's second goal, this time with 1:59 left iced things for Williamson.
Michael Hegarty came in to play goal in the second half and got credit for the win.
Williamson moves to 2-1 on the year and has a huge test on Tuesday at home against 2022 ESAC champion Bucks County College in a 6:30 P.M. start.
