After dropping two straight decisions, the Williamson soccer team has picked things back up, as they won for the second time in less than 24 hours, topping visiting Crown College (Tennessee) by a score of 4-2 in a rare Friday afternoon home game match-up. The win comes after the Mechanics defeated Delaware County Community College last night by the same 4-2 score.
The big game today was had by Zachary Bosak, as he netted a hat trick. Two of his goals came in the first half, both unassisted, as Williamson raced to a 3-0 halftime lead. The Mechanics other first half goal came from Brandon Cairy off an assist from Harrison Pritt.
Crown came out fired up in the second half, as the pulled to within 3-1 on a nice goal by Grant Lucas off a feed from Dalten Tenney. Williamson then went back up by three, as Bosak completed his hat trick at to put things out of reach. Lucas then added a beautiful goal from 32 yards out to close out the scoring.
Nathan Meyers had a big game in net for Williamson, as he came up with ten saves on the day, many of which were huge as the Storm tried to make a run.
Williamson moves to 6-3 on the year. They next host Central Penn on Sunday at 2:00 P.M.
