Cross County Takes Part in PSU Abington Invitational
Running without their top runner due to an illness, as well as their number two runner from last year due to an injury, the Williamson Men's Cross Country team remained undaunted, as they turned in a strong performance to finish 10th our of 15 teams at the 2024 Penn State Abington Invitational this past Saturday.
Leading the way for Williamson were Amir Price and Denton Reff. Price finished at 36:16 and Reff was just one second behind him at 36:17! Next up for for Williamson was fellow freshman Antonio Silva, who came in at 38:02. Dean DiLuzio and Henry Rhein rounded out the scoring for Williamson on the day.
"I'm very proud of the guys," shared longtime head coach Steve Hixson. "Each guy who ran for us today improved anywhere from three to six minutes in their time from two weeks ago. That is remarkable.
"The guys are really working hard and they are now able to see that hard work pay off.
"Again, I'm very proud of each of them, " closed Hixson
Williamson gets right back at it this week as they take part in the Bryn Athyn Invitational at 10:00 A.M. at Bryan Athyn College.
