Brand New Football Merchandise Store Will Be Unveiled at Saturday’s First Home Game
After selling items from tables far away from game action the past two years due to the construction of the school's new Wesley Student Center, Williamson volunteer Debbie Plummer, who has handled the football merchandise sales for the past 26 years, is thrilled to have her own permanent digs as part of the school's new Wesley Student Center.
The new store is located at the top of the bleachers and will offer an incredible variety of items for parents and family members, alumni, students and friends of Williamson. Plummer could not be happier with the new location.
"It really is wonderful to be right where the action is. People can come up at anytime during the game and browse and then sit right back down after they make their purchase. It really is special," shared Plummer.
Having spent the past several weeks feverously preparing for the unveiling, Plummer is excited to finally be able to open the doors of the store. As an added bonus, this year the school will be able to accept Venmo.
"That is huge for some people."
As far as what is available, the items are too numerous to mention but one big new item is Williamson football seatbacks for the new bleachers.
"People are always looking for seatbacks and now we have them.
"I always try to pick things that are up-to-date that I would want as a fan and that I think others would too."
The store will be open a half an hour before the start of each game and then throughout the game and then for a short time afterwards, as well.
