Mechanics Pull Away in Second Half for Conference Victory

Facing a Central Penn team that shot 55% in the first half, Williamson led by just a single point at halftime at 35-34, in their conference game against Eastern States Athletic Conference foe Central Penn.  Williamson then turned the tables on the Knights, as they shot 55% themselves in the second half and pulled away for a 73-61 triumph on Saturday afternoon. 

Williamson's defense improved dramatically in the second half, as the Knights shot just 33% in that second stanza. Meanwhile, the Mechanics were dominant on the boards, as they outrebound Central Penn 40-21 on the game.

Robert Wiley led Williamson with 22 points.  Semaj Chery added 21 points and six rebounds, while Ronald Johnson shot 7-10 from the floor for 16 points, while adding five assists and four rebounds.  A'Jaad White had in interesting stat line, as he scored 8 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out five assists and added four steals.

The win moves Williamson to 8-2 on the year overall, and 1-0 in ESAC play.  They nw get a well-earned break, as their next game is not until December 4 at Manor College.
