Baseball Takes Doubleheader Sweep Against Patrick Henry

The Williamson baseball team moved to 4-2 on the year with a doubleheader sweep of Patrick Henry College.  The Mechanics won the opener 20-8 and hung on to win the nightcap, 12-7.

Things did not start well for the Mechanics in the opening game, as they quickly found themselves down 7-0. Williamson then rallied for eight runs over the next two innings to grab the lead at 8-7 and never looked back.  Jacob Naumann blasted a grand slam to put the game out of reach and give Williamson the victory.

Kyle Marshall looked good early on in the second game on the mound for Williamson.  Williamson went up 6-1 with the key hit being a two-run home run by Josh Illing.  They eventually moved the lead to 12-5 before Ivan Bienkowski came on to close things out and give Williamson the 12-7 win.

Williamson moves to 4-2 on the young season and will get right back at things tomorrow afternoon in a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader start on the road against Bucks County Community College in a key Eastern States Athletic Conference match-up.
